Larimer County property values held fairly steady during this year’s countywide reappraisal, according to a recent article in The Coloradoan.
State law require counties to reappraise all properties in odd-numbered years.
Values are based on sales of comparable properties as of June 30, 2010 for the five previous years.
Larimer County Assessor Steve Miller said that while Fort Collins saw about one or two percent decreases on average in value, Loveland, Windsor and Berthoud fell about 4 percent.
Some vacant land dropped by as much as 25 percent, however this information might be skewed since there were so few sales to use for comparison, he added.
The news of the countywide reappraisal is great news for interested Loveland home buyers as it means that they might be able to get a deal on a Loveland Colorado home for sale.
